The next candidate for the right-back position is a Mr. Linvoy Primus. The 35-year-old remains the current longest-serving player at the club. He remains an icon in the Portsmouth area and in my opinion just remains one of the nicest and humblest blokes in football. His work in the community is second-to-none. There’s a [...]

This past week has seen Pompey lose their most talented right-back of recent times, to league runners-up Liverpool. Whilst every fan knew in the back of their mind that Johnson would move on to bigger and better things, perhaps many preferred it wouldn’t have come so soon.
As a result of Johnson’s £17.5m departure, we [...]

Wednesday’s match was viewed in the sense anything apart from a loss would be a bonus. Some would say because of that attitude, we lost too easily.

However United’s lack [...]

Pompey eased their relegation worries this afternoon with a well deserved 1-0 victory against Bolton Wanderers.
Nigerian legend Nwankwo Kanu scored the only goal of the game, after adding a faint touch to Nadir Belhadj’s in-swinging corner to steer the ball into the back of the net.
The goal had been coming for a long time for [...]

Perhaps not the best time to be talking about next season’s kit but some ‘light news’ won’t hurt.
An image has leaked onto the Internet of what could be Portsmouth’s new home kit for the 09/10 season.
Whilst the image itself looks like a poor man’s Photoshop effort, knowing Pompey it could be true.
As you can see, [...]

Bolton travel to Fratton Park this weekend in what could be an entertaining yet nervy encounter. Portsmouth understands nothing less than a win will do for the relegation threatened side. Whilst Bolton realise three points could all but guarantee their Premier League status for next season.
Many Pompey fans were hoping to be facing Bolton [...]

It was a ‘must win’ for Portsmouth. It was a ‘must win’ for West Bromwich Albion. The end result equalled a thrilling encounter with both sides ultimately drawing 2-2.
Portsmouth took the lead through makeshift right-back Younes Kaboul, after weaving his way through the West Brom defence and smashing his shot into the top left-hand [...]
